ADVENTURE COUNSELOR

Description: Adventure Counselors will lead and guide junior- and senior-high campers
on a variety of trips over the course of the summer. Activities include backpacking, whitewater canoeing and rafting,
rock climbing, mountain biking, and service trips. Adventure staff will be responsible for safety, food preparation,
personal and group devotions, and creating a fun, safe environment! Tent camping is required on most trips.

CABIN COUNSELOR

Age Requirement: At least 18 years old and a high-school graduate; prefer at least one year of college.
Description: Cabin Counselors are assigned to care for the physical, spiritual, and social
needs of six to eight campers each week. They are spiritual guides and show Jesus’ love to each camper in their assigned
cabin group. Counselors should expect to have an interactive role with their campers, participate in activities, assist
their group in decision-making, and work to create a safe and fun environment where young people can thrive.

CEDAR COVE CAMPGROUND SUPERVISOR

Age Requirement: At least 18 years old.
Description: The Cedar Cove Campground (CCC) Supervisor will assist the Guest Services
Director in serving and interacting with CCC guests. Responsibilities include supervising CCC staff, coordinating CCC
volunteers, managing the CCC store, lifeguarding the CCC beach, and general oversight of the CCC operations.

Description: The person in this position assists the Cedar Cove Campground (CCC) Supervisor in
serving the CCC guests. Responsibilities include operating the CCC store, guest check-in and check-out, general maintenance
of the CCC grounds, lifeguarding at the CCC beach, and other duties as assigned.

Facilities and Fleet Assistant
Dates Needed:June 1-August 21, 2010.
Age Requirement: At least 18 years old.
Special Requirement: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Description: : This summer staff person will assist the grounds and building maintenance team as needed in various capacities. He or she must be somewhat familiar with and able to use hand tools, be able to handle moderately heavy work with some lifting (possibly up to 80 pounds), and be able to traverse the multi-terrain camp grounds.

FOOD SERVICE COUNSELOR
Dates Needed:June 1-August 07, 2010. Potential for later departure.
Age Requirement: At least a senior in high school.
Description: Food Service staff will assist in the operation and maintenance of Timber-lee's
food service including food preparation and cleaning/maintaining the kitchen and dining room areas. They will also interact
with campers and other guests.

HEALTH SERVICES STAFF

Age Requirement: At least 18 years old.
Special Requirement: Must be an EMT, a CNA (or above), or be currently certified as completing
the American Red Cross Emergency Response Course.
Description: Health Services staff will administer prescribed medications to campers, staff the
health office, treat a variety of illnesses and injuries, be actively involved in Timber-lee’s emergency action plans, interact
with parents, and complete required paperwork (insurance forms, incident reports, etc.).

HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT
Dates Needed:June 1-August 7, 2010
Age Requirement: At least a high school senior.
Description: Staff in this position will clean and prepare housing accommodations for the summer
campers and summer staff. They will also assist with the handling of guest luggage.

NATURE COUNSELOR
Dates Needed: June 1-August 14 or 21, 2010. Possible early start date of May 17.
Age Requirement: At least a senior in high school.
Description: Science Education Center (SEC) staff will lead campers in indoor and outdoor
explorations of God’s creation, care for small animals, and maintain indoor and outdoor program equipment and facilities.
This intensive learning and teaching experience is best suited for students of science, natural resources, and/or education
and may satisfy internship requirements.

PHOTOGRAPHER

Description:Summer photographers are responsible for taking and storing photos for use in
slideshows and promotional materials. Staff in this position also oversee the collection, printing, and distribution of
cabin photos for each camper. Photographers often work independently, but in conjunction with Timber-lee’s full-time
and summer videographer to ensure that we have documented our summer well.

RECREATION COUNSELOR

Description: This position offers it all, from lifeguarding, belaying at the tower, and
selling snacks at Acorns to running the craft shop and sports events, and assisting in the leather shop. Staff will spend
time in each of these areas and experience the variety of ways they can minister to campers.

SADDLE HORN RANCH WRANGLER

Description: Wranglers will lead and guide trail rides for campers and weekend guests.
They will assist in the horsemanship program either teaching or assisting a teacher. Wranglers will aid in caring for
horses and various ranch work projects.

SADDLE HORN RANCH MAINTENANCE WRANGLER

Description: The Saddle Horn Ranch (SHR) Maintenance Wrangler will work on various projects
at the ranch, such as pasture mowing, fence repair, etc. He/She will assist with trail rides as needed and will drive the
hayrack used for transporting campers.

TIMBER CHALLENGE COUNSELOR

Description: Hope you’re not afraid of heights! Timber Challenge (TC) Counselors are responsible
for the delivery of Timber-lee’s challenge course programs, including our 23-element, double-decker High Ropes Course, 40’ rock
climbing tower, and archery range. We provide all technical training.

VIDEOGRAPHER

Age Requirement: At least 18 years old and a high-school graduate (prefer at least one year of college) and applicable experience.
Description: Summer videographers are responsible for collecting video of activities and events each
week that will be used in creation of an end-of-event video, Web posting, and future promotional materials. While a majority of time
is spent collecting video, additional responsibilities include video editing and still photography for cabin photos and other needs.
Videographers will often work independently, but in conjunction with Timber-lee’s full-time videographer and summer photographer
to ensure that we have documented our summer season well.

WATERFRONT COUNSELOR

Age Requirement: At least 16 years old before camp begins.
Special Requirement: Must have current Red Cross lifeguard certification. (Timber-lee offers a class in the spring. Contact us for information.)
Description: These staff members are lifeguarding all summer long and are responsible for maintaining and supervising the beach, water, and boating areas.

WORSHIP TEAM

Age Requirement: At least 18 years old.
Special Requirements: Must have musical experience and submit a video audition of musical talents (vocals, drums, guitars, keyboards).
Description: Staff on the worship team will select, perform, and lead age-appropriate worship music for campers. They will also participate in counselor support programs as assigned and serve as a cabin counselor when needed. High-energy, creativity, and a love for campers of all ages are musts.
