The year-round ministry of Timber Challenge serves close to 30,000 participants annually. It takes a number of highly trained individuals to make what we do possible. We provide all the training necessary for you to be a part of Timber Challenge’s tradition of excellence.
Our staff could be classified under three general categories
A fantastic summer job, these staff generally work from the beginning of June through the end of August. During this period, staff are responsible for facilitating campers and retreat groups in our program areas.
When Youth Camp concludes, summer’s not quite over, as we run our activity areas for two additional weeks in August for Elmbrook Church’s “Kid’s Kamp”, followed by a combined week serving Urban Camp and “Burn Camp”, a special time working with campers from the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety.
Our busiest months are in the spring and fall. Made up of everyone from college students to retired school teachers, we rely heavily on this group of staff to see us through these months. Depending on your availability and our staffing needs, hours can range from working once a month to near fulltime hours.
