OUR MISSION

To create engaging communities where each young person encounters Christ through a dynamic camp experience.

OUR VISION

Timber-lee exists to be a refuge where all who come find their joy in Jesus through activities, education, reflection, and worship

Our Core Values

We will purpose to live in the likeness of Christ.

Striving to live life like Jesus and follow his teachings into our daily lives. We will demonstrate moral character and Godly standards. We will purpose to live consistently, blamelessly, and be upright in our motives. (1 John 2:6, Ephesians 5:1)

We will be Gospel relevant and fluent.

We will be prepared to speak and live the gospel to the real brokenness and longing of people's souls in a way that they can understand. (1 Peter 3:15)

We will provide safe experiences and create a refuge for our guests.

We want to be a light, a camp set on a hill that cannot be hidden. We want to provide shelter for all that come to it and provide a safe place to grow. (Matthew 5:14-16)

We will be hospitable and partnering.

Our guests will not just be invited but will feel welcomed. We will partner with our guests to become all God has called them to be. (Romans 15:7, Leviticus 19:34)

We will be a unified community that builds on teamwork.

We will be a Kingdom culture, trusting, working together to accomplish the goals set before us. (Colossians 3:12-14,       1 Corinthians 12)

We live to be driven and persistent.

We want our mission to be intentional and focused. Despite obstacles, we stay persistent in our duties to live out our

mission in the lives we touch. (James 1:12, 1 Corinthians 9:24-25)

We will be creative and innovative.

We will take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. (Matthew 25:14-30)

We will cultivate fun in our life and work as we serve together.

We will be a community where we work, live, and have fun in our serving and fellowship together. (Ecclesiastes 2:24-26)

What We Believe

WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit), that these are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.
(Deuteronomy 6: 4; John 17: 3; 1 Timothy 2: 5; Genesis 1: 26; Matthew 3: 13-17; Matthew 28: 18-20)

WE BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe that He died in our place to atone for our sins, in His bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, continual intercession, for His people, and personal visible return to earth.

(Matthew 1: 20-21; John 1: 1-4, 9-18, 29; Colossians 1: 15-23; Hebrews 1: 1-3; John 10: 17-18; Romans 5: 8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-10; Romans 8: 1, 33-34; Hebrews 7: 25)

WE BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit, sent into the world by the Father and the Son to apply to mankind the saving work of Christ. He enlightens the minds of sinful people, awakens them in recognition of their need for a Savior, and regenerates them. At the point of salvation, He permanently indwells every believer to become the source of assurance, strength, and wisdom, and uniquely endows each believer with gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 4: 8; 1 Corinthians 2: 10-16; John 16: 7-14; Romans 8: 5-17; 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20)

WE BELIEVE that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior receive forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life and are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:36-39; 10: 42-43; Romans 2: 4-5; Titus 3: 3-7)

WE BELIEVE that salvation from judgment, the forgiveness of sin, and eternal life are free gifts of God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, and cannot be earned, deserved, inherited or bought. (Eph 2: 8-9; Romans 4: 1-10; Romans 5: 6-8; 1 Timothy 1: 15-16)

WE BELIEVE that water baptism is the public symbol of Holy Spirit baptism, and therefore is done by new followers of Jesus Christ.

(1 Peter 3: 21-22; Romans 6: 4; Colossians 2: 2; 1 Thessalonians 2: 8; Acts 2: 36-41)

WE BELIEVE that those who celebrate in the partaking of the Lord’s Supper should be believers walking in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Acts 2: 42-47; 1 John 1: 6-9; 1 Corinthians 11: 23-29)

WE BELIEVE that the Church is the body of Christ on Earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to evangelize the lost and edify the saved. (Matthew 28: 18-20; Ephesians 4: 11-16; 1 Corinthians 12: 12-14; 2 Timothy 2: 2)

WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical but also spiritual death which is separation from God. (Genesis 1: 26-27; 3: 1-24;Romans 3: 23; 1 John 1: 8)

WE BELIEVE that the Bible is the inerrant, authoritative Word of God, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in the matters of faith and conduct.
(2 Timothy 3: 16; 2 Peter 1: 20-21)
